Русская транскрипция[править код]

Sorry for using english, but I don't speak russian well enough. I'm belgian and I live in Huy. I know some things about the russian pronunciation and I don't understand why you write "Юи" instead of "Уи". In french, we say "Huy" exactly the same way as the french word "Oui" (which means "Yes") ... So, tell me, how do you transcript "Oui" in Russian ? For me, I think I wouldn't say "Oui" for "Юи" but something like "iui" (Iou + i) ... this isn't exactly the same ... Thanks for your answer and sorry if I'm wrong. Спасибо. --DYP 21:37, 16 ноября 2005 (UTC)[ответить]

I think "Уи" is correct transcription for french "Oui" (but transliteration is "Оуи"). But geographical name transcript isn't always logical. Moskva, Moscow, Moskau, Mosca, Moscou. We get geographical name шт cyrillic from trusted maps. Example it's Huy at Yandex.Maps. --ajvol 22:01, 16 ноября 2005 (UTC)[ответить]
OK, you should be right ... The problem is the same with a lot of other transliterated city names on the Yandex map.DYP 22:35, 16 ноября 2005 (UTC)[ответить]
